• Administrator details and credentials
• Student and staff information (names, photos, contact details)
• Parent/guardian contact information

1.2 Usage Data

• Attendance records and timestamps
• Message and broadcast interactions
• App usage analytics and performance data
• Device information and IP addresses

1.3 EduClock Lite (mobile app)

EduClock Lite is a native Android/iOS app that signs school administrators into the EduClock web panel on xltechs.africa. In addition to the school data described above, the app handles:

• Phone number and password — used to sign in, sent to our servers over HTTPS, and stored encrypted on the device so you can unlock the app (including with biometrics)
• Session cookies — kept on the device so the in-app WebView can stay signed in to EduClock
• School data — fetched from XL Techs servers (students, staff, attendance, reports, and other EduClock records you already manage in the web panel)
• Camera, microphone, and photos — used only when you upload or record media inside EduClock pages (for example student photos or ID cards). We do not access these in the background
• Approximate/precise location — only if an EduClock page requests it (for example scanner or map features) and you allow it
• Files and documents — only when you upload or download files from EduClock (reports, exports, ID cards)

EduClock Lite does not sell your data, does not show ads, and does not share required user data with third parties for advertising. Data is processed by XL Techs to provide the EduClock service. Contact: support@xltechs.africa.

5. Advertising and Monetization

Our platform operates on a freemium model:

• Basic services are provided free of charge
• Advanced features require monthly subscription payments
• We may display relevant educational advertisements
• Ad targeting is based on school type and location, not personal data

6. Data Retention

• Student data is retained for the duration of enrollment plus 7 years
• Attendance records are kept for academic and legal compliance
• Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure
• Backup data may be retained for up to 1 year for recovery purposes

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request data deletion (subject to legal requirements) via our school account deletion page

• Export your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy

We are committed to protecting children's privacy:

• Student photos and personal information are never used for marketing

Your data is primarily stored in Ghana. If transferred internationally, we ensure:

10. Changes to This Policy

11. School account deletion

School administrators can permanently delete their EduClock school account and associated data at any time, including from EduClock Lite, without installing the app:

• Deletion removes the administrator login, school records (students, staff, attendance, reports), related files, and app sessions
• You must confirm with the administrator password and exact school name
• Backup copies may be retained for up to 1 year for recovery and legal compliance, then purged
• Uninstall EduClock Lite after deletion to remove any remaining credentials stored on the device
